Meet Award Winning Film Director - Vohn Regensburger

Meet award winning director, Vohn Regensburger: Best Director of a Feature Film, New York International Independent Film Festival – 2007. Last of the Romantics is Vohn’s feature film debut, as both a writer and director for the big screen. It is a satirical, yet poignant look at a flailing composer obsessed with his legacy under the climate of today’s culture. A terrific ensemble cast was assembled featuring Chris Bruno (The Dead Zone), Brittany Daniel (Little Man, Joe Dirt, White Chicks), Ted Lange (The Love Boat), Dylan Bruno (Saving Private Ryan, Where the Heart Is, Numbers) and Steve Mendillo (LoneStar, Slapshot), bringing the world of Parker Graves to life.

Born in New York City and raised in Denver, Colorado, Vohn grew-up in a musical environment playing the cello and guitar. After making his first student films in high school, he went to study acting at the University of Creighton, landing a lead role in the play by Jean Giraudoux, The Madwoman of Chaillot. He transferred to the University of Colorado where he studied music composition under the tutelage of Ronald Stein, the Hollywood film composer.

Vohn’s upcoming projects involve directing the feature film, A Remarkable Life, a screenplay which he wrote concentrating on a divorced man raising his autistic son trying to renew the meaning in his life. Finally, Vohn adapted the Ray Bradbury novel, Dandelion Wine, in the re-telling of this marvelous coming-of-age piece through a child’s eyes set in the 1920’s. Vohn is slated to compose and conduct the film score for the upcoming feature film Murphy’s Creek, later this year.
